What He Wants

Matthew’s girlfriend breaks up with him on a flimsy excuse, one he decides can’t be true. She’s sure he wants their mutual best friend Aaron and has for a long time. To further complicate the friendship that means everything to him, she’s putting ideas into Aaron’s head too. Now, the two men who are as close as brothers are alone together, awkward, and nervous about admitting to each other and themselves just how right Abbey is. WARNING: ADULT CONTENT.

After 15 Years of Friendship They Realize They Aren’t Straight….I Don’t Think So, January 26, 2013

This story reads like it’s been written by a virgin stuck so far back in a closet that she came out in a different universe. I might have accepted the fact that one of them was gay and the other one wanted a taste of the other side of the tracks. Been known to happen. But that isn’t what this is.

This story is about two men who have been friends for over 15 years who are best buds. They do everything together. Both of them have exclusively dated women. Yet just one comment from a woman made them bi/gay.

Matthew’s ex-girlfriend tells each one of them separately that she thinks they have the hots for the other one. That weekend they kiss, then decide to wait and see. Then the decide to have sex. Wouldn’t you know it, even though that neither of them had had sex with a man before it just was mind blowingly perfect. Granted this was supposed to be erotica, but please.

Back to my original thought. This reads like a young closeted man that has a major crush on his straight friend. Who dreams and fantasizes that one day all the pieces will fall in place and they can be together forever. Like most teenage fantasies it has nothing to do with anything that is credible. This story was just too far from reality, that the amount of belief that needed suspending was more than my brain could handle.

I do NOt recommend this story.

I thoroughly enjoyed the sensuality, sexuality, and real life scenario in this book. I could see it happening in real life. Hands down it gets an A +

An excellent quick read for those, like me, that enjoy a short story to pass time while on a lunch break
