You’ve fantasized about it. Maybe you’ve even tried. Asked for his hands to grip you a little tighter. If he could tie you up. Hold you down. But he always stops too soon.
He doesn’t mean it when he makes you beg for him, doesn’t push you to the limits of your pleasure and demand everything you have to give–and

Don’t get caught in this. It’s just “Book 1.” Actually, it’s just the first 77 pages and the rest of the series won’t be out until future dates in 2015. Although, this is not expensive, only 99 cents, it’s not a book. It’s the first 12 chapters of a book. Roxy Sloane did the same type of cliffhanger “book” series with The Seduction.
Was Fifty Shades the marketing model for these so-called trilogies? The fact is that each book in the Fifty Shades series was book length. These are not. I don’t see why the author couldn’t have waited and sold this as the entire book for $3.99, which is reasonable and doesn’t piss off readers. A lot of romance writers are into this model and maybe it works to sell more books, but as a romance reader, I’m so fed up with it.
The thing is, this isn’t even a very good beginning. (Spoilers ahead.) There’s a hot opening scene with Cam where he expresses his superior skills as a dom at a sex club. Enter Isabelle, a trust fund baby (apparently adopted and not always rich) and he rescues her from a bad scene. Surprisingly, he moves her into his house and buys her stuff. Not sure why. It’s a small world because he happens to be the hot shot executive who runs the billionaire company her now deceased adopted father started. For some reason, this means he can’t have her in a sexual way. Not sure why. Isabelle has a despicable adopted brother who has moved into her apartment and is using her credit cards and obviously there’s some sick sexual past going on there (which isn’t explained in this book.)
So you’d think that Isabelle’s main concern would be getting rid of Brent the sicko “brother.” But, no… her major concern is her desire to become a submissive to Cam. Not sure why.
Have to say, Isabelle is pretty lame and really stupid. Part of her character is that she is someone who has lived her life trying to please others. To the reader, she’s just a boring doormat.
So I won’t be reading the rest of this book when it comes out. This is when that three part marketing scam backfires. If you don’t hook ’em in the first few chapters, they ain’t going to buy the rest of the book.

There is no actual sex in this book! I mean I’m not looking for porn or anything, but the whole story is inner dialogues & almost sex scenes. Every time something gets started, Cam says its a mistake & runs away. What was the point of reading the book?? So aggravating!!

LOVED! I can’t wait for more Cam., December 18, 2014

Cam is a high powered executive and second in command at Ashcroft Industries. More importantly, in my opinion, he’s Scottish which means he has a yummy accent. His days are filled with business meetings and deals, but his nights are filled with bondage, dominance and submission. It’s a part of him that he likes to keep private. Until Isabelle walks into his favorite sex club one night and fighting his attraction to her becomes even more difficult.

Her entire young adult life, Isabelle has pretended to be whatever the people in her life wanted her to be. But now, she is tired of faking it. When her jerk adoptive brother, Brent, takes things too far, Cam steps in to save her. Isabelle is determined to see more of Cam’s dominant side but he is equally determined to keep her out. How can she get past that stone wall he has thrown up between them?

When I get an email from Roxy Sloane containing her latest ARC, everything else in my world ceases to exist. Nothing else matters besides reading it right then and there. This was especially true for Sweet Submission since it is Cam and Isabelle’s story, something that I have have been waiting for since The Seduction serial concluded.

Cam is not as filthy mouthed as Vaughn or Ash, at least not yet anyway, but damn he is equally delicious. Something tells me that he is going to kick it up a notch as this serial continues and I can’t wait for that. I found it frustrating how he kept trying to shut Isabelle out when clearly she was more than interested in this other side of him. But I loved her determination to get through to him. And that ending? Perfect. I can’t wait to see how this plays out. Emphasis on play, of course.

You do not have to read The Seduction or The Invitation serials to read this, though I highly HIGHLY recommend it because they are dirty and wonderful and there are a few recurring characters. But mostly because of the dirty. I love the dirty and Roxy Sloane is so damn good at it.

I received an eBook in exchange for my honest review.
