First let me say that I received an advanced reading copy for a fair and honest review, secondly I have no problem being honest and fair and if I didn’t like this book .99 isn’t going to break me financially. With every Chloe Cox book I read I develop a new respect for her ability to not fall into the trap of over adjectivizing (I think I made that word up), she also doesn’t write like she’s going through a thesaurus. I read a lot of scripts in my day to day life so dialogue, staging and blocking are second nature to me. Ms. Cox writes conversational dialogue and witty banter so well that her characters become humanized very quickly and before I know it, I feel as if I am eavesdropping on someone else’s life. You can tell that this author had a special affinity for Declan and Molly it radiates so organically from their chatter that they jump off the page. Her pacing of this book was impeccable, there was nothing rushed, in fact, I would go so far as to say it was a romantic stroll that these characters engaged in. My title for my review comes from what I thought was the most stellar line in the book. We have read endlessly how the Alpha males tend to growl…when Declan did, Molly called him on it. It was priceless. I must also thank Ms. Cox for not writing a typically brooding Alpha Male who rasps. Rasping to me is akin to lisping and I don’t really find Sylvesor the cat very sexy. There was something very zen about Declan that sets him apart from our usual dominant males. The reader will find themselves inside Molly’s head a lot and hearing her thoughts, yay for no back flipping inner goddesses and happy trails. I also loved Molly’s mantra “be a badass” and smiled whenever she told herself that. I also thoroughly enjoyed every subcharacter, most especially Adra and Brian. I found this to be the most humorous off all of this author’s books and hope that this is the beginning of a trend…love and laughter go hand in hand and amazon is covered in bodies of brooding, misunderstanding laden, secret keeping, innocent, virginal heroines who find themselves stumbling into billionaires. I have enjoyed the entire Club Volare series so far but if I had one wish it would be to group her characters into more of a friends mode and carry the previous hero and heroines into a social group that at some point in the books come together at some point in the newest book. I’m not explaining it clearly but I would love updates on previous characters and I really would enjoy a friendship aspect between the women and men of Club Volare….so thank you Chloe for sending me this book on the 4th day of my vacation and I won’t even complain about the hellacious sunburn I earned by refusing to leave the beach until I finished this book. I also want to say that this book and a Pre- ordered Sylvia Day arrived the same day and there wasn’t even a glint of a doubt that Savage Rhythm would be my choice. Another winner!

This was my first book by Ms Cox. I loved it! I’m now afraid to read the others because they can’t live up to this. I really appreciated getting this book at a value price compared to the others in the series.

If you like this series I think you will love this. If you’ve been considering this series this is a great choice to check it out. It was a good stand alone book and I’m also looking forward to getting to know these secondary characters better in the other books. If you are on the fence about this book it is totally worth a try.
