Open Door Invitation

Open Door Invitation

Open Door Invitation

Every single woman knows at least a few basic safety rules. First, don’t talk the strangers. Second, don’t invite strangers into your home. Sometimes, however, a lonely woman gets comfortable and after darkness falls, lets those rules slide. But with the darkness, if one believes in such things, might come creatures of the night. Throw an open door invitation into the mix, and anything can happen…

I would call this paranormal erotica, and it’s told in first-person by a woman living alone who one day encounters this mysterious man outside her door. He gives her a warning that she really shouldn’t leave her door open. She encounters this man twice more, and on the third occasion, something very interesting happens.

This erotic short story has a very nice feeling to it, very moody, very seductive, almost languorous in how it unfolds and envelopes the reader. It really felt as if I were under Lucien’s beguiling spell. The author did a very good job with that, a tricky thing to do; I’m really impressed with the feeling and mood she imparted into this short piece, impressed enough to look up more books/stories by this author.

This story is around 135 locations, a very quick read for sure, probably less than fifteen minutes, but it holds an appealing, sensual eroticism, along with a dark, shadowy paranormal mood to it. A surpising little treat for a freebie. Just deeper than I was expecting, very nicely done erotica.

This free Kindle short story that can be read in ten minutes is filled with sex and may offend some readers who would prefer not to read it. It is well written and moves along in a swift pace. It tells the tale of a woman who sees a dark silhouette on a man standing just outside her doorway that she forgot to close. She is scared and watches him unable to move or call out. He warns her that there is danger in leaving her door ajar, and leaves. She doesn’t call the police. Instead, for months, she feels a sense of longing. Then he comes again, warns her, and leaves again. Then months later he reappears, does not leave, and she experiences something she never expected.

I hope this is a teaser or prequel of some kind. It ended just as it was getting good but it makes me want to know more about the characters. The long and the veiny of it is Open Door is a great little read.
