Superb Collection of Paranormal Romance, June 2, 2015
    By

This review is from: Masters of the Hunt: Fated and Forbidden (Kindle Edition)
Masters of the Hunt is an excellent collection of 16 full length novels. I enjoyed the variety of paranormal talents and carefully crafted world building. From shifters and vampires to angels and demons – this collection has these and many more.

I loved Pleasured by the Pack by Anne Marsh. It’s the second novel in her Blue Moon Brides series, but stands on its own very well. Set in the steamy Louisiana bayou, shifters Dre and Landry find their soul mate after hundreds of years of searching. The twins share everything, and their new bride joins them in hot ménage action.

Call of the Dragon by Elianne Adams features a trope I always enjoy. At her birth, Rhia was removed from her home of Avalore to keep her safe. Now the people of Avalore need her to return and assume her rightful title of Queen. Drake and others have been looking for her for years, and time is running out. He finds her and they begin the dangerous return to Avalore. Their love is forbidden, all bonds must be sanctioned by magical council, but Rhia defies tradition and they end with their HEA.

Code Black by Tina Moss uses an alternate urban setting with vamps, shifters and paranormal monsters living among humans. Sera, an investigative reporter thinks she is digging into a series of paranormal murders, but she is actually the target. Special agent Talon, a wolf shifter, is also working the case. Even though she might be a suspect, he is overwhelmed by desire and the urge to protect her. Sera has unusual powers of her own, and she discovers her true nature as she falls in love with Talon.

FTC Disclosure: I was given an ARC in return for an honest review, which has not influenced my thoughts in any way. All opinions here are my own.

Must read box set, June 2, 2015
    By

This review is from: Masters of the Hunt: Fated and Forbidden (Kindle Edition)
This was an awesome sixteen book box set from some great authors. I was able to read all of the books in this set. I will be doing reviews for some of my favorite ones.

Desert Hunt by Anna Lowe… Rae has secret a secret that many wolf packs would kill for so she hides that secret. When she is sent to a new pack she meets, Zack a wolf/coyote hybrid who is also a beta to the future alpha. Zack know that Rae is his mate but the old alpha has plans for her. Rae has an old enemy from her past who wants her as a mate and will do anything to make that happen. Will Rae’s secret come out and who will be her mate?

Savage Surrender by Ellis Leigh…. This is a spin-off to two series The Gathering and the Feral Breeds. This time we are finally getting the Dire Wolves. Bez is sent on a mission to get back the Omega that has been kidnapped and her pack slaughtered, but when he finds her, she is not alone. Sariel is an dud, or an Omega who is infertile, but also is his mate. He goes against orders and saves both women. On their trail is the men who took both women but they also have a werewolf who will stop at nothing to dine on the flesh of female shifters and anything else in their way. Will Bez be able to save them before it is too late? This book does end on a HEA.

Prince in Leather-Hearth Motel 1 by Holley Trent…. Cursed to live in her family’s beach side hotel Simone can’t wait for her time to be up so she can leave. Her plans go awry when Heath Horan, a fairy biker, shows up and tells her that not only is she his mate, but also a princess to boot. Simone doesn’t want any part of that but she really has no choice since being friendly is part of the curse. Will Heath be able to break down her walls and can the curse ever be broken?

While all of the stories were great I just decided to review a few. If not this review would go on forever. This box set something for everyone and will introduce you to some new authors.

I received a copy of this book for a honest review…

Great Boxed Set! A Steal At Its Special Price of $1.99!, June 2, 2015
    By

This review is from: Masters of the Hunt: Fated and Forbidden (Kindle Edition)
One of the great things about boxed sets is I am introduced to so many authors I’ve never heard of or read. I received an arc of this set for an honest review.

Sacrifice Me, Season One by Sarra Cannon: This is the first time I’ve read by this author, and really enjoyed her writing style. I loved this series. Very addictive. I plan to read more of Sarra Cannon’s books.

Heir of the Dog by Hailey Edwards: This is the first book I’ve read by this author. This book is full of action, twists and turns, and romance. The characters are well developed. I need to get a copy of the first book, Dog With A Bone, to grasp a better picture of the characters in play. A Great Read!

Desert Hunt by Anna Lowe: I received an arc of this book by Anna, as I am continuing to review her series of The Twin Moons Ranch. Anna has become one of my favorite authors, and not just because
I’m a member of her review team! I’ve loved every book in The Twin Moons series and the story of
Zack and Rae is just as good as the rest. Rae is the sister of the pack’s alpha, Ty, and has had trust
Issues through the entire series. Zack is a sweet alpha male. Their relation is complicated all the way to the end. I don’t believe in spoilers, so you’ll have to read it to find out the end.

Bait: Free Novel by Annie Nicholas: I received this book for free on Amazon but had never gotten around to reading it. This, again, is a first I’ve read by this author. I love vampire stories and enjoyed her perspective of them. The story contained action, betrayal lust and romance. These are all things I enjoy reading in a book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Prince in Leather by Holley Trent: This book is an introduction to author Holley Trent for me. I love paranormal/fantasy and this was a great tale! Having been cursed to live at a beach motel for six years, Simone Bristol is counting down the time she will be released. There she meets Heath Horan a Sidhe prince who’s been drained of his energy. He and his fairy biker-assassins need to stay at the hotel long enough for his powers to be restored. He immediately recognizes Bristol as his mate, but she wants no part of him. This story has humor, danger, and magic, and is a great read.
Call of the Dragon by Elianne Adams: In March Amazon was offering this book for free and I got it but hadn’t had a chance to read it yet. Once again, I’d never read anything written by Elianne Adams. This book was entertaining and a quick read, but I was a little disappointed in the ending. Overall, a great first time release for this author.

Pleasured by the Pack by Anne Marsh: I purchased this boxed set and loved it. This installment tells the story of Dre and Landry Breaux, twins that do everything together, including sharing women. They know Mary Jane is their mate, but can they convince her of that? A story filled with action, including vampire attacks and Riley being taken as a hostage, Pleasured by the Pack is a fast-paced, action-packed great story.

This is the farthest in the boxed set I’ve gotten, but I can’t wait to finish the rest!
