This is a good short story. if you are not into taboo stories then this is not the book for you. Though the story moves very quickly you do get a story-line in there as well

You can’t go wrong for the price. Really, not too bad; short as you might expect, but worth the time it takes to read. I’ll look for more by this author.

It was short and to the point. Would also be good as a regular novel with more adventures and Amy’s new found pleasure. I enjoyed it.

This book was a major disappointment. I downloaded it because it was free, had pretty good reviews, was a nice length, and the concept sounded like it would provide a good story. I feel like the 11 five-star reviewers and I read a completely different book. If this was meant to get me to buy the rest of the books in the series it is not going to happen.

The main character was irritating, whiny, and arrogant, and while I gave the author some slack because I figured it was for character development reasons it didn’t seem to be— he stays that way for the entire book and really doesn’t seem to have any redeeming qualities at all. In fact, I couldn’t even empathize with the secondary characters like Blake; they are flat and barely

In addition to that, the entire book is written in a passive, past tense so it seems dull and awkward. I stopped several times while reading this hoping that it was due to some kind of flashback or was essential to the build-up to the story’s climax but there really wasn’t a major climax so the story just dragged along. There was also no real description; it’s straight forward exposition in the most dry way possible.

Other readers mentioned that they found the book to be humorous but it never seemed funny to me, which was an accomplishment in itself because I can usually find something that I like.

The book may be free but don’t waste your time on it.

Stephen Blake is an actor whose Mom is a well known actress and his dad a lawyer. He decides to become an actor and has a younger boyfriend that none of his friends like. Stephen’s career has stalled and he has just hit 30. He is bored by Blake and is cheating while Blake is starting to look for greener pastures as well.

It is hard to like either Stephen or Blake. They are both self-centered and manipulative in their own way. Blake has long left his young, sweet ways and has become a nag while letting Stephen pay most of the bills and do most of the house work. Rick, an older well hung man, moves in next door and Blake starts seeing him and moves in with him while Stephen is filming a commercial. Stephen decides to come home early and finds he has been dumped and manages to keep Blake from emptying the house.

The good things about the book deal with Stephen coming to terms with being 30 and being dumped. Thirty is a hard birthday for everyone. It is that milestone birthday where you are no longer young and it is the yardstick birthday where you measure what you have accomplished against everyone else. Getting dumped for another older, better-hung man is a hard thing for Stephen to deal with on top of aging. At first he becomes obsessive about getting Blake back, but he grows a spine and becomes a hero for anyone male or female who has been dumped. Yeah on moving on Stephen.

I really was not interested in this book. It was full if aggravation and from the title indignities. Was not a positive read. Was full of bickering people with no good story flow. Maybe it resolves itself in following books but this first one doesn’t not make me want to read following books.
