Lust (Seven Deadly Sins Book 1)

It was a fresh start, and as a recent graduate from the Charleston School of Law, it was a way to pad her resume with a high powered New York Law firm. But most of all, it was away from him.

The last thing she needed was another relationship, especially since her devastating break up with her master, Benton Frazier. Burned one too many times, this submissive was ready to put her past behind her. She just never figured on Carlton.

I just purchased this first book (free) on Amazon. Offering books for free is the way you get sucked into reading the rest IF the first book catches your attention. This one did. It’s a fast read but the characters sink into your heart with laughter and sex. I will wait for the boxed set before reading the rest of the story. Waiting for installments just makes me nuts when I want to know how the characters are doing. I know cliffhangers sell books but I really hate waiting. I will add Laura Cooper to my list of authors to watch and read more of her stories.

    A Good Quick Read, September 22, 2013

Lust is the first in a series of books. Each book is on one of the seven deadly sins, as reflected in the lives of the two main characters.

When Liz Martin moves to New York, she meets an incredible man in the elevator of her apartment building, who turns out to be her future boss. The attraction is instant – hence the name of the book, and they have in common their dogs, both Dalmatians who take a liking to each other.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a quick read (approximately one hour) and is light-hearted and interesting. Although it is part of a series, it is enjoyable on its own, so I did not feel cheated of my time, as I do with some ‘free’ reads. I will probably buy the other books if they are reasonably priced because I liked the characters and the story.

Liked the characters enough but the use of exclamation points in dialogue was distracting. Could use a professional editor to help with grammar…past and present voice.
