I Love My Breakup (Jessica 1)

for Mature Readers Who Think Being Mature Is Stupid. A Free Introduction to Sabrina Freakin’ Lacey.
Jessica here. I was dating David. Actually, we lived together. It was great, so I never saw the breakup coming. I never saw the cheating, lying, dirtbag-jerk-a-hole, I’ve-been-sleeping-with-someone-else, heart-shattering BOMB… coming. I’m about to do something super super hot, but also maybe a little dangerous. But when you’re getting over a broken heart, you can’t be held accountable. Am

I have to say that I have never been a “romance novel” fan but I could not stop reading this book. I was describing the book to my husband and he entitled it a Quickie novel… 😉 From page one, the action, no pun intended, is in full force and the ending arrived much too soon. I must read the next book! Jessica brings out what most women seek; that sexy confidence, not gonna be trampled on attitude with a dash of still want to be loved and be in a committed, monogamous relationship with a sexy man who wants the same… Sabrina Lacey has the ability to tell a story in great detail and keep you reading.

I must admit, I have ready “hot romantic novels” before and this book is awesome and will keep you wanting more. From page one, I was hooked. Each encounter Jessica has is described in such detail that you can feel it happening. Isn’t that the point!!!!! The lead character, Jessica shares her feeling, desires and needs in a way that I’m sure most women have felt at sometime in their own lives. Although, the book ended way too soon, I loved the last few of pages. Sabrina Lacey hurry and write your next book, I can’t wait to see what Jessica does next.

Since when does erotica mean going-to-end-up-dead-or-diseased? This story could have been so much more.

I Love My Breakup follows the story of a woman who has decided to answer a sex ad. She’s just been dumped, she loves sex … so why not?

Well, lots of reasons. All of which went through my head as I was screaming at this character so smarten the f up.

She must not have heard my screaming, because the woman emails the complete stranger, gives him her address, invites him in wearing just bra/undies, and has unprotected sex with him. Her only stipulation? That he not speak. The squick factor of this was just too high for me to enjoy it at all.

If the author had done a couple of small plot changes, I’d have been able to enjoy this story. First: the ad should have been part of a site where everyone is vetted as far as disease, truthfulness of photo, and criminal record. It doesn’t have to be a real site; knowing that those three factors had been dealt with would have made it MUCH more enjoyable for me to read. Second: condom. The guy needed to use a condom. It’s not unsexy; it’s SMART. Smart is sexy! Third: they should have met at a hotel room, NOT her apartment. I spent the entire short story so worried about this chick’s safety that I couldn’t enjoy the hot monkey sex. I was disgusted by her blatant lack of self regard and was horrified that someone might read this story and think it is something to emulate.

I will not bother reading the other books in this series, as this first one is so wholly awful.
