Nell finds herself with the boss’s son on her first day. She inserts foot and chews vigorously as she insults him from ignorance of his identity. Several days later they meet again and the story becomes hot and steamy. It ends with a great lead in to another part to the story; we readers can only hope???

Nell is the new intern at a large company primarily run by the Boss’s son Marc Cassidy. First day jitters and the hope of making new friends has her insulting Marc to his face with no idea who he is. When realization dawns, she’s sure she’s going to be fired by the end of the week. However, Marc is actually still interested in our little Nell despite her insult, and he’s not shy about what he’s interested in.

This was good! I liked Nell’s curiosity, I liked her personality, and her willingness to try things that were foreign to her without passing judgement. Marc was HOT! He’s commanding without being overly intimidating. He made it clear to Nell (more than once) that she didn’t have to do anything she didn’t want to do, that she didn’t have to worry about losing her job and that he cared about her reputation in the company. He showed himself to be considerate and caring of Nell, which is something that I’m starting to see less of in similar books. I’m looking forward to the next installment!

This is a BDSM short story, but it’s light BDSM and good for the curious.

    THOUGHTS

I’m impressed. A very short novella that held my interest and gave me a full body blush and tickle. Nell started her first day at work at a new company. There, she met Marc, who unbeknownst to her is very much apart of said company in a big way. Once formalities are out the way, these two brought a sexy interaction and chemistry to the story that was enjoyable.

While reading, the story makes you become a bit giddy. You know what’s going to happening, but you can’t wait for it to happen and become a bit intrigued as well. As quickly as they met, everything started moving along at a fast pace. The scenes in Marc’s office was and is worth a read of this book. The BDSM was not hardcore, but make no mistake, it was very, very, very sexy and naughty. Although Nell had two diary entries, they were a bit funny and naive , but still funny. She didn’t come across as a sexy bombshell, but her character was likeable. Marc, the moment I read about him, I literally wanted to jump in my kindle(impossible, I know) and rip his clothes off. He was very dominant and sexy.

Disappointments, the book isn’t longer. However, my enjoyment supersedes that. If this was a series, that would make me excited.

Better than Fifty Shades!, November 23, 2012

If you enjoyed Fifty Shades (come on we know you read it) then you’ll adore this one. Where Fifty had an enticing premise – this one meets that expectation and jumps ahead by leaps and bounds. Additionally this was written by someone who doesn’t repeat the same phrases over and over and if you’re like me – you won’t feel a need to grab a red pen while reading! The scenes are hotter because the female protagonist isn’t a child unsure of herself – this time we have a grown up who not only knows what she wants but is strong enough to go after it! MUST READ!

    Must read, April 6, 2013
This review is from: The Submissive: The Submissive Trilogy (Kindle Edition)
After reading Fifty Shades of Grey last year, I have to say that it was hard for me to read another trilogy that would captivate me just like Christian Grey did, but THE SUBMISSIVE with Nathaniel West totally held my interest. For those who thought Anastasia Steele was a little naïve, I have to say that Abigail King was the total opposite and she held her own at times.

I did a little research after I had received this book to review and was saddened that I have to wait for the next two books to be released, but I will sacrifice and wait. Thank you so much, Tara Sue Me, for publishing your work and for the publishing company that made this possible.

I got so excited as I was reading this book and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. However, I will tell you this: he needs to really beg Abigail in order for her to forgive him because what he did was cruel. Some surprising truths were also revealed.

When I first started reading this story, I really didn’t like Nathaniel because he was such a jerk, but when Abigail found herself in a bad situation, he was there to comfort her and make sure she was fine. That was when I truly fell in love with him. He was able to give Abigail what she was missing from her past relationships, to discover a new lifestyle and not be afraid of a little pain because pleasure was right around the corner. I really liked that this showed a certain side of him and how it impacted Abigail because of his insecurities and intimacy issues. How his actions pained Abigail and how she was able to handle each intense situation. It took a lot of guts, will and power to do what she did. I loved the storyline of this book and how it unfolded a D/s relationship and touched all of the bases for that type of relationship. The Dom is there to take care of all the needs that the submissive may have, and in return the submissive is there to take care of the Dom. The sex scenes are smoldering hot, there is some BDSM but not too explicit.

THE SUBMISSIVE is a must read if you loved 50 Shades of Grey. The writing is clean and very entertaining. I can’t wait to read The Dominant to hear Nathaniel’s point of view of this relationship.

I read this trilogy for free when it was part of the Twilight fanfiction base. This was one of the first BDSM type of stories I read, and it’s been a good 3-4 years since I read it online. It still holds the charm and is the story I remember. Although obvious changes to character names, physical characteristics, setting, and other details were needed to de-Twilight the triliogy, it still maintains its charm, flow, and integrity of the original premise that I enjoyed reading. Tara Sue Me’s writing is fluid, keeps the story moving. For those who feel this is a 50 Shades knock off, you are incorrect. Tara Sue Me wrote this trilogy BEFORE 50 Shades was written. Very happy for the writer! Can’t wait to download The Dominant, which was my favorite of the three.
