Do not confuse hot and steamy with erotic. This book is mostly erotica, however, you do notice that the men also have a deep emotional connection. I wouldn’t say that this book is historical fiction; its just in a more… say english sepia setting.
I have not read the prequel to this, perhaps I would have gotten more out of it had I done that.

For a short story, it was ok. Any longer story and the plot would have gotten boring. Plot wasn’t that strong.

This is a very short third “episode” of a Viking who became enslaved to a very wicked sea queen and is turning in to a monster. I read all three episodes that are out to date and hated both one and two while the third was better. Yet, I couldn’t enjoy it because of the bad taste of previous storylines. The concept was interesting but execution just was no where near along the lines of what I enjoy reading. So much I didn’t like about this story that this part is minor but I just wanted to slap the hero several times and say “man up You are a Viking act like it!” This is centered around the sex scenes being the “climaxes” yes that play on words was corny but it made me smile. I just had to skim over those and normally i enjoy them but because of the context (etc.) it ruined it for me. But for those who like short dark erotic fairy tales that has sex scenes between the H and everyone besides h until episode 3 then this might be perfect for you and I encourage you to give it a try. The writing wasn’t bad it just wasn’t for me…oh and a warning episode 3 is left with a cliff hanger and the next isn’t out yet. Each episode is around 20 pages each.

Let me start out by saying, that if I were in a life changing situation, and it didn’t include sunshine, rainbows and butterflies. But instead included eternal servitude, and mind numbing pain and torture, I think the last thing on my mind would be getting laid.

But, I guess that’s what these kinds of books are about. Getting that last piece before you are tortured to death. YAY! for them.
I had gotten my hands on book two for free, and somehow wound up with this one too, and I must give the writer some credit for being consistent. Unfortunately, it’s consistently focused on sex and very unrealistic. Fantasy, at it’s worst in my opinion. If this story were to be made into a movie, I could easily picture the bad acting that would go along with it. LOL!
