    A Really Sweet Romance, July 6, 2012

This was a really cute book and wasn’t like other romances I’ve read. It was a lot milder than most. It wasn’t filled with lust and sex. The man and woman didn’t throw themselves at one another five minutes after meeting, and I liked that. I liked how the author portrayed the main character’s struggle with his changing feelings and lifestyle. It was gradual and not rushed, unusually realistic compared to other Romances I’ve read. There was a lot of depth and story behind it that just really made it an enjoyable, feel-good book.

This is a sweet story about “happily ever after” romance that will leave you smiling. Read it! Not a lot of sex but the characterization feels real.

I feel like this book stole time from my life I will never get back. It is extremely poorly written, both technically and stylistically. I could have maybe ignored it being full of both typos and actual misused words, if there had been some other redeeming qualities.
It begins with an extremely unlikable character. When he is introduced to the girl, he becomes even worse. He only cares for her looks, and is angrily possessive and jealous. I was never rooting for him to find happiness. Likewise, there is no apparent reason that the girl should have fallen for him other than that he is handsome. When his personality changes and he becomes “good”, it is very sudden and entirely unbelievable. As the “Happily Ever After” part of the book starts, it just become less and less believable. Here are these couple of billionaire saints who just want to give the women they’ve fallen in love with (in 2 seconds) everything in the world. It doesn’t actually make for interesting reading at all, especially since the writing style seems to be that of a middle school essayist. I have never read less realistic dialogue in my life. The narrative clumsily drags you through every insignificant move the characters make, and if you might wonder what someone’s thinking or about a part of their backstory, don’t worry; they’re about to say it out loud – in small, stilted words.
Yes, this book is a free download, but I have read enough free books to know they can be much, much better than this. I can’t warn you not to waste your money (free), but I implore you not to waste your time. I, unfortunately, cannot leave a book only half-read. I have a compulsion to finish, even if it’s terrible. This one is terrible.
