Way too much humiliation, April 7, 2014
This review is from: An Unacceptable Arrangement: An Unconventional Marriage Story (Kindle Edition)
I wanted to read this after I read the other reviews. This girl was treated so badly her whole world was turned upside down no one seemed to care. When she was punished it was humiliating everything was forced on her, I felt so bad for her I really did’t feel her husband loved her or even her family. Her husband was royalty and he punished her in front of the staff. I am so tired of these books where the girl has no choice or even any hope.

This was a great second book, although it stands alone, in the Unconventional Marriages Series. I got drawn into the story by my feelings for Cassandra and her angst at being forced into a marriage with a total stranger. This is a great historical DD romance which is well written. I look forward to another book by this author. I received this book from Blushing Books Publishing as an Advanced Reader Copy

This read more like the conventional historical fiction novels that I love with all the added spice I like from this genre. It is very well written and very enjoyable.

Natasha Blackthorne writes an emotionally intense and compelling erotic historical romance in Trust Me, the second book in the Regency Risks series. Blackthorne has an exquisite writing style, drawing me into her stories with a perfect combination of vivid historical details and romance.

Recently married to Anne Cranfield, Jon Lloyd, Earl of Ruel, plans to spend the winter in Scotland helping her adjust to marriage. But, Jon’s plans change when he receives a letter from his grandmother discussing rumors surrounding the suddenness of Jon and Anne’s marriage. Jon hesitates to bring Anne to Mayfair because she is still suffering emotionally from the accident that killed her first husband. Anne is painfully shy, and Jon worries that she will not be strong enough to deal with the tenacious people who are out to hurt her. To her credit, Anne fully understands her shortcomings and during the various social functions they attend, tries valiantly, with Jon’s help, to show society that she isn’t aloof or insane. Their sexual chemistry sizzles throughout, and their light BDSM scenes are sensual, scorching hot, and thoroughly demonstrate the trust they have for each other in the bedroom. It’s outside of the bedroom, where Jon and Anne need to work at trusting each other. Having never been truly in love with anyone before, Jon struggles with his feelings toward his wife. At times, Jon feels this love weakens him and affects the emotional control he has always had. Furthermore, Jon needs and wants Anne to be submissive to him in all things, but he knows that she is keeping thoughts to herself and secrets too. For a long time, Jon fails to realize that if he wants Anne to be forthcoming about her thoughts and feelings, he needs to be just as open and vulnerable with her. Not surprisingly, Jon is keeping things from Anne too. At the end, when Anne fully faces her fears and genuinely discovers her inner strength, it is a beautiful thing to see. Jon and Anne are mesmerizing characters, who I fell in love with in A Measured Risk. Their story is so emotional and consuming that I became very upset when life would take me away from the story, but I could never stay away for long.

A stunning couple discovering how to trust one another propels this character-driven story to the dramatic conclusion, making Trust Me a powerful romance that is a gripping read from beginning to end.

I received an eBook copy of the book for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Powerful Love Story!!!, March 27, 2014

First of all I have to say I am a big fan of Natasha Blackthorne’s. She has amazed me again and again with her books and this one totally blew me away. She is a master class in this genre. A stand out for sure.

Trust Me is Book 2 in the Regency Risk Series, when I found out that we would be getting more of Jon and Anne I was so excited.

I love Natasha’s writing style. She brings you back in time and takes you on a superb journey that stays with you. This book was very well written.

Jon is an handsome dominate but caring male who wants Anne’s complete trust. Anne has come along way since A Measured Risk but she is still holding some of herself back from Jon.
Will Jon be able to heal all of her before he loses her? Will Anne be able to be everything Jon needs? Well you really need to read this to find out!

In this intensely erotic, emotionally driven love story we get light to moderate BDSM, passion filled love making and sizzling sex scenes that will have you melting in your seat breathlessly. Prepare to fan yourself while saying a lot of OH MY! :)
The sex scenes were so hot I thought my kindle would ignite. I have no doubt that if I was reading this in paperback that it would of gone up in flames :)

A true love story about the struggles of love, trust, submission, domination and how to deal with it back in the Regency era.

Loved this book and I can’t wait for the next one :)

ANOTHER HIT FOR THIS AUTHOR!!, March 23, 2014
This review is from: Trust Me (Regency Risks) (Kindle Edition)
TRUST ME by Natasha Blackthorne is an exciting Erotica Victorian Historical Romance. #2 in the “Regency Risks”, but can be read as a stand alone, although, I would suggest reading A MEASURED RISK first.
TRUST ME is Anne and Jon’s story continued. (Anne Lloyd, the new Countess of Ruel, and her husband, Jonathon Lloyd, the Earl of Ruel).
We first meet them in A MEASURED RISK.
Fast paced and filled with light BDSM, Rubenesque, strong language, submission, passion, secrets, fear, and love. Jon appears to be a controlling husband, but he is one who would do anything for help relieve his wife’s fears. And she has many. Mature content, and steamy passion. But it is not all about the sex or passion, it is the power of love and trust.
TRUST ME is a story about scandal, passion, a sly, dependent heroine, a strong, dominant hero, and the trust that is built between them. But someone is out to destroy their fragile bond. Another hit by this author. If you enjoy erotica, forming bonds, passion, and sensuality than you will enjoy TRUST ME. Ms. Blackthorne brings a lot to her writing and her characters with her well written stories, even her sex scenes are well written and not vulgar. I enjoyed seeing how Jon and Anne finally find their HEA. A great read! Received for an honest review.
