Like Shakespeare? Ever wonder what started the feud between the Capulets and the Montagues? Selena Kitt offers one possible answer in this very short tale of lesbian love.

Both wed to older men, Lady Elizabeth Capulet and Lady Catherine Montague find in each other’s arms what they lack in their husbands’ embraces. Lady Capulet’s nurse shares their secret.

I wish I could expound on this plot line, but being that the story is about twelve pages, that pretty much sums it up. A Twisted Bard’s Tale presents an entertaining snapshot between two well-known (and yet apparently not) Shakespearean characters. Being a Shakespeare fan, I loved the naughtiness this possible plot line presents. However, I was disappointed in the story’s length. I would have liked to have seen it woven through the actual Romeo and Juliet plotline and continue perhaps past the young lovers’ deaths. All in all, it’s an okay read and at ninety-nine cents, it’s considerably cheaper than renting a dirty video (although I doubt I’d hurry out to purchase this tale on its own…).

As description of single erotic lesbian interlude in a period setting, even with mythical characters, this story perhaps lacks quite the usual Selena Kitt flair for the erotic to be really outstanding. Nevertheless the appeal of a F/F period piece (imagine popping lush breasts out of a corsage, accessing the treasures hidden under volumnous petticoats etc etc.) is nevertheless stirring. This short kindle would make an excellent basis for expansion to a full book. Development of the characters, description of the breast feeding leading to lovers etc, offers much for the imagination.

This review is from: A Twisted Bard’s Tale (Kindle Edition)
A TWISTED BARD’S TALE is a very, very, VERY short erotic lesbian tale. Ladies Montague and Capulet may be the mothers of Romeo and Juliet, respectively, but they are still women with desires. And what they desire the most is each other. Meeting whenever they can in secret, the lovers are at the mercy of their husbands. I really enjoyed this short, hot tale. My only complaint is that I wish it had at least been a 25-30,000 word novella, so that the ladies and their relationship could be more deeply explored. But this tale worked in getting me to add Selena Kitt to my list of authors to look for, so an overall winner.
