I absolutely loved this book. I loved how strong of a character Katrina was, I loved David and Elliot, and the ending!

I am not one to read books with weak female characters. I hate the wishy-washy or insta-love types so Katrina was right up my alley. Not only was she physically strong, but she was mentally strong. She said what she wanted to, even though at times she probably shouldn’t have ;). And even when she was emotional, I felt like it was deserved. :(

David was the ultimate guy best friend. I loved how he saved her in the beginning. It absolutely killed me when thing went south! Elliot is fabulous but David is superb! Every girl should have a David in their lives. :)

The plot was perfect. Even though I kept switching teams (Elliot or David) I was very happy with the end results. Nothing was forced and the book felt like it unfolded in a fashion that was real and not fake. The only thing I would have changed about the book was seeing Beth or Bianca get beat at their own game more. I loved when Katrina would put them in their place!

This is a great short read that I would recommend to anyone over 18!

I received this book for an honest review!

I read this book so fast and i am sad that it had to end. This is a story about Katrina who is trying to move on with her life from her ex-boyfriend Christopher. It is very hard for her to find a boyfriend due to her best friend David all the guys get jealous of him. When Katrina gets a job at a law office she meets Elliot who never pays attention to any of the girls. Well one day Trina goes for a run on lunch break and runs into Elliot where they start to get to know each other. One thing lead to another and they ended up falling in love. That is when everything becomes a struggle.

I could not put this book down i was in contact with the Author the whole time. Thank Lilliana for dealing with me LOL. This was a Beautiful book i was kinda sad that this story had to end. I would really like to get Elliot story on how he felt about everything and how he managed with all his Struggle.

    **CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!***

Well shoot, I am very torn on this book. On one hand, I LOVED it, while on the other I was very disappointed and let down by it. I loved it because the passion between Elliot and Katrina was great! They seemed so completely made for each other and he seemed to be so completely in love with her the whole time. I was disappointed by it for that reason too. Why couldn’t Elliot have gotten the HEA?? I really felt for him, and while it was completely clear even from the book blurb that David was in love with Katrina I wasn’t his biggest fan because of the Beth situation. He could have tried to move on with someone neutral, not someone who he knew didn’t get along with his best friend, and supposed woman he loved. I just wish there had been something more to Elliot to make me more okay with the fact that she didn’t choose him. Usually I am all about the guy chasing after the girl, but she didn’t even try to talk to him, and I just wonder if that would have been enough to fix them and have him open his eyes quicker.

I really am just torn between what my overall feeling was. If she or Elliot had managed to fix things, then this would unquestionably be a 5 star book, but because of the choices the author did make, I just can’t give it that rating, and while I feel like 3 stars is a little too harsh of a punishment to the story, I don’t think I can justify 4 stars. So where does that leave me?? I just don’t know. I have never had such a difficult time rating a book before

This review is from: One Step Closer (Erotic Romance) Book 1 (The DeLuca Brothers) (Kindle Edition)
This book is about Frank DeLuca, who is the oldest of 5 brothers in a Italian Family. At the age of 10, Franks father dies, leaving his mother Maria to raise 5 boys on her own. Frank takes on the responsibility of helping his mother raise his brothers by making sure that they attend church every Sunday, do well in school and stay out of trouble. ( which worked for all except one brother Anthony, who decided to work as an enforcer for a known crime family)

Frank had become a self made Millionaire, his brother Anthony, had joined a crime family, the middle son Vincent had become a Special Agent with the FBI, two years younger than Vincent was Sergio, who was a pediatrician and the youngest of the brothers was Sal, who was in college.

Frank hadn’t been home in ten years and although he was looking forward to seeing his mother and brothers, there was someone that he didn’t want to see, his ex-girlfriend Sofia.
Sofia and Frank were in love and had been since her senior year in High School. Having started his business, Frank and Sofia had a long distant relationship and on a trip to see Frank in California, Sofia realized that she would only be getting in the way of his dreams and decided to end their relationship. Two months after leaving Frank, Sofia married his cousin Gio and it was hard for him to get over their betrayal.

Returning home after 10 years, Frank realizes (with the help of his mother) that he has to talk to Sofia and get answers as to why she would do that to him. In doing so, Frank uncovers secrets that he wasn’t prepared for.

I have no intention on giving away the secrets or the ending of this book but, what I can tell you is that it is REALLY GOOD and a MUST READ!

This is the first book in The DeLuca Brothers Books and I am so looking forward to the rest of the series!!

I don’t expect much from free books but I do expect a bit of proof reading. There were such simple mistakes throughout it that it was distracting and more than a little irritating. However, the storyline was believable and interesting. Kept me reading but I’m glad I didn’t pay for it.

This was a quick cute read. The author played well on the day to day thought processes of people. How there’s always more that one side of the story. In the end all worked out well. It was a bit predictable for me. But a sweet story with a Happy ending.
